How to Use the Stainless-Steel Insert

  • Stainless steel food insert is oven safe up to 350˚F
  • Food insert can be used in the oven and transferred directly to the chafing dish for buffet-style service.

How to Use the Stainless-Steel Water Tray

  • Water tray should only be used to hold water.
  • Do not use it in the oven, microwave, or on the stovetop.
  • When in use, monitor to ensure adequate water levels. About 1 ½ inches of water is recommended.

Glass Lid

  • Make sure lid is kept on at all times during serving to prevent moisture from evaporating.

For products that have a hydraulic window lid:

  • To avoid damage to the hydraulic lid, please do not press down forcefully on the lid. Allow the lid to close naturally.

Burner & Fuel Info

  • Fuel is not included with the chafing dish.
  • The stainless steel burner is designed to accommodate burner paste cartridges or other types of solid heating fuels, such as gels.
  • Please read the instructions provided by the fuel manufacturer before use.
  • Do not use liquid alcohol fuel in this burner. Serious injury may occur.
  • Place the burner securely in the base of the stand.
  • Note: for other sizes of solid fuel cans, such as Sternal, simply use burner base without lid.

CAUTION: THE FLAME WILL NOT BE VISIBLE IN BRIGHT LIGHT. DO NOT PLACE YOUR HAND IN THE FLAME AREA TO CHECK FOR IGNITION.

  • We recommend using a pot holder when handling burner.
  • Heat may be adjusted during use by partially closing the snuffer.
  • To extinguish the flame, simply place stainless steel burner cover over the opening of the burner lid.
  • After extinguishing, allow the burner to cool down before handling.

How to Use Burner Paste

  • Remove the burner cover by twisting the lid counter-clockwise.
  • Drop in burner paste cartridge.
  • Peel back the foil cover carefully and replace the burner lid.
  • Align and lock into place firmly by twisting the lid clockwise. Proper alignment and locked closure of the lid is important in controlling the flame and heat.
  • After use, remove empty burner paste cartridge and completely clean the base and burner with hot, soapy water.

CAUTION: The burner will be extremely hot while the flame is burning. Be careful when replacing or adding fuel to a hot burner.

Cleaning

  • Keep the stainless steel chafing dish looking beautiful by washing in hot, soapy water using a soft, wet sponge. Rinse with hot water.
  • Dry using a soft cloth.
  • Hand wash and dry after each use to prevent corrosion or mineral stains.
  • Note: Everyday use may result in minor scratches or yellow stains on stainless steel components. This will not interfere with cookware performance.
  • DO NOT use steel wool, scouring pads, oven cleaners, bleach, or strong abrasive cleaners.
  • Clean pan thoroughly after each use, food films cause sticking and discoloration on the pan when reheated.
