Dutch Baby & Bacon Breakfast

Ingredients

6-8 slices thick-cut bacon

3 eggs

1/2 cup All-purpose flour

1/2 cup whole milk

1 Tbsp. sugar

1 tsp. vanilla extract

Powdered sugar (for dusting)

Optional Toppings:

Whipped cream

Maple syrup

Fresh berries (blueberries, raspberries)

Lemon zest (2-3 lemons worth)

Directions

STEP 1: Preheat skillet over medium heat and add bacon. Cook bacon, flipping occasionally until cooked through and to desired level. Remove and drain on paper towels. Leave bacon fat in skillet.


STEP 2: Preheat oven to 425°F. While bacon cools, prep the Dutch baby batter. In a medium bowl, combine the eggs, flour, milk, sugar, and vanilla. Whisk until smooth.


STEP 3: Pour the batter into the pan used to cook the bacon, making sure the batter spreads even throughout the pan. Move pan from stovetop to the heated oven. Bake for 18-22 minutes (without opening the oven door). The Dutch baby should puff and turn golden brown.


Prep the berries, lemon zest, and other chosen toppings.


STEP 4: Remove the Dutch baby from the oven. Add powdered sugar, berries, and whipped cream on top. Sprinkle lemon zest.


Enjoy with bacon!
